அனைத்து உயிர்களுக்கும் தந்தையாகவும் தலைவனாகவும் இருக்கும் இறைவனுக்குத் தரும் அவிர்பாகத்தையும் அவருக்குத் தராமலும் அவரை மதிக்காமலும் இறைவனை அழிக்க மாபெரும் யாகம் ஒன்றை செய்தான் தக்கன். அவனது அறியாமையைக் கண்டு கோபமுற்ற ஈசன்
அந்த யாகத்தையும் அவனது செறுக்கையும் அழித்து அவனக்கு நல் அறிவைக் கொடுக்க மறக்கருணை கொண்டு வீரபத்திரர் எனும் பைரவ அவதாரத்தை அந்த மாபெரும் யாகத்தின் தீயிலிருந்து வெளிப்பட்டார். அந்த மாபெரும் யாகத்தை செய்தவர்கள் மற்றும் அதை ஏற்க வந்த தேவர்களும்
இறைவனின் கோப முக தரிசனத்தைப் பார்த்த மறுகணமே அவனது அருளன்றி இந்த யாகத்தைப் பூர்த்தி செய்ய முடியாதென்பதை அறிந்து
இறைவனின் கோபத்தைக் கண்டு மிகவும் அஞ்சி தமது நிலை தடுமாறி எல்லாத் திசையிலும் சிதைந்து போனார்கள்.

" Dhakkan once performed a sacrifice to destroy Lord Shiva who is considered as the father and head of all living beings and also he disrespected the Lord by not giving the sacrificial oblations to Him. Lord Shiva got angry seeing his ignorance "
" and went to destroy both his arrogance as well as the sacrifice and took the form of Bhairava and erupted from the sacrificial fire. Whoever were performing the sacrifice as well as the DemiGods who came to attend the sacrifice
" witnessed the angry face of Lord Shiva in Bhairava form and at the next instant realized that without Lord Shiva's grace the sacrifice cannot be concluded "
" and seeing the Lord's anger they became so frightened and ran helter skelter in all directions to escape from His wrath. "

"தாம் செய்யும் எந்த செயலானாலும் மனம் வாக்கு உடம்பு மூன்றையும் ஒருநிலைப்படுத்தி இறையருளுடன் செய்வது வேள்வியாகும். மனம், வாக்கு, உடம்பு மூன்றை மட்டுமே வைத்து இறையருள் இல்லாமல் செய்வது தக்கன் வேள்வியாகும்."
