एको नैकः सवः कः किं यत्तत्पदमनुत्तममं ।
लोकबन्धुर्लोकनाथो माधवो भक्तवत्सलः ।। ७८ ।।

Transliteration - English


Eko naikaha savaha kaha kim yaththatpadamanuththamam ।
Lokabandhurlokanaatho maadhavo bhakthavathsalaha ।। 78 ।।

Transliteration - Tamil


ஏகோ நைகஹ​ ஸவஹ​ கஹ​ கிம் யத்தத்பதமநுத்தமம்​​​​​ ।
லோகபந்துர்லோகநாதோ மாதவோ பக்தவத்ஸலஹ​​ ​।। ௭௮ ।।

Translation


725. Eko :

One without any kind of differences that are internal or that relate to similar objects external or to dissimilar objects.

726. Naikaha :

One who has numerous bodies born of Maya.

727. Savaha :

That Yajna in which Soma is made.

728. Kaha :

The syllable 'Ka' indicates joy or happiness. So it means one who is hymned as constituted of joy.

729. Kim:

One who is fit to be contemplated upon,because He is the summation of all values.

730. Yath :

One who is by nature existent.The word 'Yath' indicates a self-subsisting entity.

731. That:

Brahma is so called because He 'expands'.

732. Padamanuththamam:

Brahman is 'Pada' or Status, because He is the goal of all Moksha-seekers. It is Anuththamam, because it is that beyond which there is nothing else to be attained.

733. Lokabandhur:

One who is friend of the world.

734. Lokanaatho:

One to whom all the worlds pray.

735. Maadhavo:

One who was born in the clan of Madhu.

736. Bhakthavathsalaha:

One who has got love for devotees.
