शुभाङ्गः शान्तिदः स्रष्टा कुमुदः कुवलेशयः ।
गोहितो गोपतिर्गोप्ता वृषभाक्षो वृषप्रियः ।। ६३ ।।

Transliteration - English


Shubhaangaha shaanthidaha srashtaa kumudaha kuvaleshayaha ।
Gohitho gopathirgopthaa vrushabhaaksho vrushapriyaha ।। 63 ।।

Transliteration - Tamil


ஷுபாங்கஹ​ ஷாந்திதஹ​ ஸ்ரஷ்டா குமுதஹ​ குவளேஷயஹ ।
கோஹிதோ கோபதிர்கோப்தா வ்ருஷபாக்ஷோ வ்ருஷப்ரியஹ​ ।। ௬௩ ।।

Translation


586. Shubhaangaha :

One with a handsome form.

587. Shaanthidaha:

One who bestows shanti, that is, a state of freedom from attachment,antagonism,etc.

588. Srashtaa :

One who brought forth everything at the start of the creative cycle.

589. Kumudaha:

'Ku' means the earth. He delights during his earthly incarnations.

590. Kuvaleshayaha :

'Ku' means earth. That which surrounds it is water,so'Kuvala'means water.One who lies in water is Kuvaleshaya.'Kuvala'also means the underside of serpents.One who lies on a serpent,known as Adisesha,is Kuvaleshaya.

591. Gohitho :

One who protected the cows by uplifting the mount Govardhana in His incarnation as Krishna.

592. Gopathir:

The Lord of the earth is Vishnu.

593. Gopthaa:

One who is the protector of the earth.

594. Vrushabhaaksho:

One whose eyes can rain all desirable objects on devotees.Vrushabha means Dharma and so one whose look is Dharma.

595. Vrushapriyaha:

The beloved of the Virtuous.
