अशोकस्तारणस्तारः शूरः शौरिर्जनेश्वरः ।
अनुकूलः शतावर्तः पड्मी पड्मनिभेक्षणः ।। ३७।।

Transliteration - English


Ashokasthaaranasthaaraha shooraha shourirjaneshvaraha ।
Anukoolaha shathaavarthaha padmee padmanibhekshanaha ।। 37 ।।

Transliteration - Tamil


அஷோகஸ்தாரணஸ்தாரஹ​ ஷூரஹ​ ஷௌரிர்ஜநேஷ்வரஹ ।
அனுகூலஹ​ ஷதாவர்தஹ​ பத்மீ பத்மனிபேக்ஷணஹ​​​ ।। ௩௭।।

Translation


336. Ashoka:

One without the six defects - sorrow, infatuation, hunger, thirst, birth and death.

337. Thaarana:

One who uplifts beings from the ocean of samsara.

338. Thaaraha :

One who liberates beings from the fear of residence in the womb, birth, old age, death etc.

339. Shooraha:

One of great prowess, that is, who fulfils the four supreme satisfactions of life – Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha.

340. Shourir:

One who as Krishna as the son of Sura, that is Vasudeva.

341. Janeshvaraha :

The Lord of all beings.

342. Anukoolaha :

One who, being the Atman of all beings, is favorable to all, for no one will act against oneself.

343. Shathaavarthaha :

One who has had several Avataras or incarnations.

344. Padmee:

One having Padma or lotus in his hands.

345. Padmanibhekshanaha:

One with eyes resembling lotus.
