Sri Vishnu Sahasra Naamam

Aavarthano nivruththaathmaa samvruthassampramardanaha ।
Ahassamvarthako vahniranilo dharaneedharaha ।। 25 ।।

Transliteration - Tamil

ஆவர்தநோ நிவ்ருத்தாத்மா ஸம்வ்ருதஸ்ஸம்ப்ரமர்தனஹ​​ ।
அஹஸ்ஸம்வர்தகோ வஹ்நிரநிலோ தரணீதரஹ​ ।। ௨௫ ।।

Translation

228. आवर्तनः - Aavarthanaha:

One who whirls round and round the Samsarachakra, the wheel of Samsara or worldly existence.

229. निवृत्तात्मा - Nivruththaathmaa:

One whose being is free or untouched by the bondage of Samsara.

230. संवृतः - Samvruthaha :

One who is covered by all-covering Avidya or ignorance.

231. संप्रमर्दनः - Sampramardhanaha:

One who delivers destructive blows on all beings through His Vibhutis (power manifestation like Rudra, Yama etc.).

232. अहस्संवर्तकः - Ahassamvarthakaha :

The Lord who, as the sun, regulates the succession of day and night.

233. वह्निः - Vahnihi :

One who as fire carries the offerings made to the Devas in sacrifices.

234. अनिलः - Anilaha :

One who has no fixed residence.

235. धरणीधरः - Dharaneedharaha :

One who supports the worlds, Adisesha, elephants of the quarters etc.
