Sri Vishnu Sahasra Naamam

Maheshvaaso maheebharthaa shreenivaasassathaam gathihi ।
Anirudhdhaha suraanandho govindho govidhaam pathihi ।। 20 ।।

Transliteration - Tamil

மஹேஷ்வாஸோ மஹீபர்தா ஷ்ரீநிவாஸஸ்ஸதாம் கதிஹி ।
அனிருத்தஹ ஸுராநந்தோ கோவிந்தோ கோவிதாம் பதிஹி​ ।। ௨௰ ।।

Translation

181. महेष्वासः - Maheshvaasaha:

One equipped with the great bow.

182. महीभर्ता - Maheebharthaa:

One who held up the earth submerged in Pralaya waters.

183. श्रीनिवासः - Shreenivaasaha:

One on whose chest the Goddess Shri, eternal in nature, dwells.

184. सतां गतिः - Sathaam gathihi:

One who bestows the highest destiny attainable, to all holy men.

185. अनिरुद्धः - Aniruddhaha :

One who has never been obstructed by any one or anything from manifesting in various forms.

186. सुरानन्दः - Suraanandhaha:

One who bestows joy on all divinities.

187. गोविन्दः - Govindhaha :

Gau means words. Thou pervadest all words, giving them power. Therefore sages call Him as Govinda.

188. गोविदां पतिः - Govidhaam pathihi:

Gau means words. One who knows them is Govind. He who is the master of words is indicated by this name.
