Sri Vishnu Sahasra Naamam

Vedhyo vaidhyassadhaayogee veerahaa maadhavo madhuhu ।
Atheendhriyo mahaamaayo mahothsaaho mahaabalaha ।। 18 ।।

Transliteration - Tamil

வேத்யோ வைத்யஸ்ஸதாயோகீ வீரஹா மாதவோ மதுஹு ।
அதீந்த்ரியோ மஹாமாயோ மஹோத்ஸாஹோ மஹாபலஹ​​ ​​ ।। ௧௮ ।।

Translation

163. वेध्यः - Vedhyaha:

One who has to be known by those who aspire for Moksha.

164. वैध्यः - Vaidhyaha:

One who knows all Vidyas or branches of knowledge.

165. सदायोगी - Sadhaayogee:

One who is ever experienceable, being ever existent.

166. वीरहा - Veerahaa:

One who destroys heroic Asuras for the protection of Dharma.

167. माधवः - Maadhavaha :

One who is the Lord or Master of Ma or knowledge.

168. मधुः - Madhuhu :

Honey, because the Lord gives joy, just like honey.

169. अतीन्द्रियः - Atheendhriyaha :

One who is not knowable by the senses.

170. महामायः - Mahaamaayaha:

One who can cause illusion even over other great illusionists.

171. महोत्साहः - Mahothsaahaha :

One who is ever busy in the work of creation, sustentation and dissolution.

172. महाबलः - Mahaabalaha:

The strongest among all who have strength.
