திருப்பெருந்துறையில் வசிக்கும் சிவனே! பூமியில் பிறந்த அடியார்களெல்லாம் சிவனால் ஆட்கொள்ள படுகிறார்கள். ஆனால், நாம் பூமியில் பிறக்காத காரணத்தால் வீணாக நாளை போக்குகின்றோம் என்று திருமாலும், அவனது உந்தித்தாமரையில் பிறந்த மலரவனான பிரம்மாவும் வருந்துகின்றனர். எனவே நீ, உண்மையான கருணையுடன் இந்த உலகிற்கு வந்து எங்களை ஆட்கொள்ள வல்லவனாய் இருக்கிறாய். எவருக்கும் கிடைக்காத அமுதமே! நீ பள்ளி எழுந்தருள்வாயாக!

"Oh Lord Shiva who resides at Thirupperundhurai! All the devotees of Lord Shiva who are born in this earth totally get enslavened by His devotion. But Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma who was born from the navel of Lord Vishnu regret that they have wasted their days by not being born on earth. Therefore you are so graceful that with real mercy on us you have come down to this earth to get control of us. You are a nectar not attained by any! You please wake up!"
